This time of year Big Deer would be a great area to fish. There are lots of grass and Lilly pads that grow back in the creeks. Plus Little deer is nice also, there is grass growing in both creeks and they are a great place to fish. Try jig-n-pig combo's around any timber you find in the water, laying down or standing, buzz baits or even some type of top water frog around the grass flats. Any lay downs you come up on fish the heck out of them, 6 inch worms work best for me in the Ringworm Brand, black with a white or chartreuse tail.
Out along the defined creek channel about 125 yards away from the boat docks by the ramp, is a great location to just spend the day throwing crank baits around the edge of the creek channel. Wiggle Warts and Shad Raps.....
Might even toss a pegged worm into the open holes in the grass, especially where a old tree is still standing with the grass surrounding it...... Hang On....... when you try this method.......
Good Luck and let me know how you do ....![]()
