Lookin' for smallmouth

Good morning Tenn. I'm from Indiana and would like to know a good place to go in late summer or fall. I love to night fish. I heard percy priest was a good lake and was close to nashville. Maybe a little out on the town and fishin would be a good trip? Any help would be appr.

ttwigg -- you have several choices...Old Hickory, J. Percy Priest, Tims Ford, Center Hill, and my favorite - Dale Hollow....... I'd fish all during the day and night except no nights for Percy Priest unless you know it well (channel comes up shallow at the blink of the eye and unless you know it, be prepared in day or night to go from 20 feet to 2 feet)...... Old Hickory and Percy Priest is close to great "on the town" places (Nashville and Murfreesboro)..... the rest are near great small towns with limited "night life" activities....... I'd opt to do the fishin' thing at Dale Hollow in the Fall (late October and early November for some great smallmouth action) and then pack up and go into Nashville for some lively town activities on the way home..... hope this helps but I'm sure more on this website will reply and help you out hopefully...tight lines
