    Waded Stoner

Well, I woke up this morning about 0630 and got excited about the fog and grabed my gear and headed to stoner.
I waded section that I havn't fished since I was a kid, and produced two real nice large mouth.
I love wading in the morning especially when there is a nice fog on the water, only fished for about an hour and a half but it was really worth it.
Thought I'd share that with ya.

Wow, it's been a longtime since i waded the old "stone". We used to do well especially in the fall if you could stand the leaves on the water. That creek taught me about "fire weed"!

Yup, the banks are full of that stuff. The creek seemed to be in pretty good shape. I waded the section way below the dam near the Peakcock road area.
As soon as can figure out the pics, I'll post one.

One of the bass had some red thing on it, looked like some kind of parasite about the size of a tick. Anyone know what this might be?

    Exclamation Re: Waded Stoner

I didn't notice, it appeared to be latched on and red in color. It kind of makes me wonder, becuase the water treatment plant isn't to far from where I was fishing.

many areas to get in and wade? very familiar with the deeper pools with the ramps. always wondered and heard about spots to wade but just didn't know they were very accessable.

Hi, I live in bourbon county and have waded about every mile that is wadeable
in stoner, hinkston and the licking. Unfortunately my new work schedule only allows me to get out in the morning, and most of the people I have been fishing with aren't interested in wading. I f you would like to get together sometime and go drop me a line: [email protected]
