Lake Cumberland largemouth's main prey

I am wondering what largemouth mainly consume in Lake Cumberland? The reason I ask is because I figured it was shad but I have been noticing the larger bass seem to be going to town on the small bluegills.

Bass cannot eat shad after the shad reach a certain size. Its mainly the young offspring of shad that fish eat.

Since bass are ambush predators, they will usually eat anything that passes in front of them that fits a particular size criterion.
