It's getting low again...a couple weeks ago we had a weird float where the fish didn't turn on at all until about 11:00am...go figure. If I was going tomorrow, I'd pitch small plastics - Tubes, Grubs, maybe a little jig. That seemed to be the most consistent hitter the other day.

Also, I like your name - PatientlyWading - that's clever.

About to get to bed, the tube is already tied on and ready to go. i did well on it the last few times i have been out actually. two times ago was two weeks ago, and i had the same occurance. right when the sun was getting high, the fish turned on, in a pool i had never done too well in either. thats also shortly after i gave the tube a shot.... soft plastics have been the ticket for me all summer and i love it, i can't get them to look at another bait really except for the ol #2 occasionaly. better turn in, hopefully have a good report to follow.

Thanks, i like it pretty good myself, it just came to me.

    Whacked em'

Got out before the sun was up, was throwing mini tubes. Slow at first but catching a few. Was with a few other guys and they were throwin all sorts of stuff, inlines, topwaters, crankers, grubs and not catching anything. About 10am or so they fish started turning on a little better. i ended up catching 44, almost all smalljaws. 15 slots, but nothing over 14.5. did get one LM and one 3lb drum. my partners switched to tubes and total we got right at 70. great day on the creek. Only had to share the creek with about 15 deer, and big black snake.

    Excellent report.

This morning would have been awesome with the rain. THe last time I went it had rained and drizzled for a little while before noon...

Yea, i think every morning/ evening/ day would be great to be out there. they were mostly coming out of the current. some fish were in the still holes, but most were nosed up in the current or up on the banks feeding right down from the riffs.
