    Kentucky River Report

    Guys,

    My KY River Report:

Sulphur Well Pool; water stained, river rising, full of drift. Went in with a buddy about 6am upstream about 4-5 miles. Rained steady on us for the first hour, light. Hit rock bars early with Bandit 300's. (Cant give up color tho First fish was a 14' smallie. Then another, about the same size. Next cast I hit a big fish. He started taking line and went down, it was about a 20lb carp. He ate the **** crankbait! Couldnt believe it.

Then we eased back into a creek and it was dead. Got back on main river and hit the next few rockbars, passing up everything in between. Hit one long shallow rock bar with threadfin balled up on it and just wore them out. One after another, about 15 bass in all, ranging from 10-15 inches. We must have gone up and down this particular bar 5 or 6 times. No real big fish, but plenty of 13-15 inch bass. It was a great morning on the river. Left at 11am, happy and close to home. I feel like we could have found another particular bar like that but the sun came out and we said the hell with it.

Good report. See any carp or gar shallow and/or working the banks?
