HELP! Going to Erie for Walleye

First Trip to try my hand at some Walleye Fishing any secrete Lures I can get or might already have that will land a few. ANy help would be great.

I fished up there last year at the 4th of July. All we used and most everyone else used were Erie Dearies and nightcrawlers. If and when they are bitin, you'll know because there were about a hundred or more boats out in the lake in one spot.
One of my favorite methods is very light line, I use 4lb test, and an ultralight rod, a hook, a split shot, and a nightcrawler hooked once through the nose.
One of the longtime walleye guys from Michigan thought I was nuts till I started landing more eye's than him.

Gold is a good color as well as chartreuse. We use erie dearies and spinner worm harnesses. We caught more sheephead than walleyes. However we caught 3 Fish Ohio award walleyes, one at 29'', 2 @ 27" in one day in June.
