fished c land x2 this week. both days out on the water by 5:30 am and off the water by 11:30 (avoiding heat stroke!). thur boated 3 nice spots and had several follows/bumps. today boated 5 with no keepers. i have been fishing in the south fork for the last several weeks. temps in the 84-85 range with slight (usual) stain. fish have been most consistent on spook/sammy baits when the sun is up (tight to wood) and swimming grubs when they are up chasing bait. the lake is in good shape and i expect fishing to just get better on cland. boat traffic has been very light during the week. this fall with stable water levels, cland is gonna be awesome! if you have not been out lately, come and check out the grass growing on the banks, it is unreal.

also fished cedar creek on tue for ~5hrs (2 rain soaked hours!) despite a good wind and dark skies only managed 2 14in bass. both on pop r. decided to harvest some bluegill and pulled into one spot and caught >40 gills in about 30min. it was unreal to basically catch a fish on every cast. harvested 13 "decent" gills (7-8in). several boats on tues were bluegill harvesting and it appears "thinning" the population.
