Sounds like you may be fishing the Midwest Classic around those times.anyone have any info on what type of conditions, patterns might be going on at Kentucky Lake the first week of October? Goodluck
follow Dave Stewarts reports on the reports page...great guide and flat out knows whats up...Thats about as much info you are going to get from anybody down here this time of year. It's not as easy in early fall as it is in the spring and with all the national events coming to the lakes, info on good, consistent fish gets pretty hard to come by until everybody goes home....Then it will get good around here![]()
When is it when everyone goes home and it gets good down there. Have a week of vacation to burn and thinking of coming down in November. Never been on K L that late but want to break new ground. In the past, like is said above, I've done well and even good but nothing like Spring. Thanks, t-norb
just got back sunday. try in bays in weed beds with top water and or in line spinners. weed are making great come back. full of minnows and shad. watch for the shad to start jumping and put lure in that area and you will have great luck. small try the east side of main lake around rocks and rip rap. great time of year for shallow crappie alsocought bunchs of fish in and around grass this past weekend. awesome time![]()
The lakes get pretty much deserted by the second week in November because of hunting season mostly...but November is like March...you can have some really great days or some really tough days...depends on weather...but the great days are worth it and the lack of boats on the lake is great.
dont know anything about the midwest classic was just going down to fish. Tired of not catching anything in Indiana! How many boats will be in this classic? If it is a big tournament that may change my plans...dont want to get run over down there. Thanks for the info...looks like I will just have to start beating a bank somewhere
The word is that they hope to have 400 boats but that will be at KY lake and Barkley. They have two launch sites one at each lake.dont know anything about the midwest classic was just going down to fish. Tired of not catching anything in Indiana! Good luck and catch a big in
midwest classic usually draws 300+ so you should be pretty close.
What are the exact dates? I may try and go after if possible. Although I am sure 400 boats wont be much on a lake that size. ten thousand acres is big here in Indiana!
I love the fall on Ky and Barkley. Hunting season makes it that much better! The lakes get pretty much deserted by the second week in November because of hunting season mostly...but November is like March...you can have some really great days or some really tough days...depends on weather...but the great days are worth it and the lack of boats on the lake is great.
400 boats not a big deal on that lake. over 100000 acres. plenty of room evan more room now that most pleasure boats are put away for the year.
