Anybody fished T'ville this week that can give a report?? What are the water temps? And i am wondering with this warm weather we are having if it is helping or hurting the bite??

What does the Wildcats/Cards game posts have to do with the question about Taylorsville ?? Shouldn't the Mods have deleted all the off issue posts ??
Anyway ... yes, I was at T-ville on Fri. Lake is down a foot below Winter Pool ... main lake temps are around 74deg ... one creek mouth temp that we noticed, was 69deg ... main lake looks "normal" in coloration (the usual clear to stained "green" water) ... there was some "dirty" water back in some creeks .
I was Crappie fishing ... and Crappie were holding at around 13ft down, over submerged wood. So, yes ... I do believe the warm temps have had a negative effect on the bite, as most bites we encountered were very light "tics" (we were using jigs). One person, that we talked with, who has been using minnows and fishing the lake fairly regularly (over the last couple of weeks) stated that he had been catching a lot of small Bass ... so it looks like the 2007 spawn was, at least partially, successful. The guy I was fishing with, has seen lots of schools of fairly small Shad (around 2") ... but, we saw none on Fri. We did see small schools of larger Shad (4+ inches), just milling around under the surface, circling in place.
There were a lot of very large surface boils, that we witnessed, but did not see exactly what they were.
Some cooler temps and a little rain should put things back into a more normal/seasonal mode.
That's all I know .... hope some of it helps.
