    Holcombs

Want to make sure this is the right name. This is the ramp at the dam correct? Is it open and can be used? Planning on going to Wolf Creek
campground for a few days and want to be able to put in the lake fairly close. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Old and new ramp are ready to go, good luck. I think it's actually Halcomb with an A.

I beleive it,s spelled Halcombs landing. New ramp and probably the largest on the lake, paving of the parking lot has been going on and may be finished by now. New location of entrance roads on both sides. You should have no problems.

    Re: Holcombs(Halcombs)

I used the new one Sunday, couldn't really tell if it was open or not but there were 4-5 more trailers parked there. The old ramp was full as usual, I put in on the side of the new one closest to the oldest. I was surprised to see the ramp ended just past the wheels of my trailer, a couple more feet and my trailer would have dropped off. I didn't look but I hope at least a couple lanes go out deeper. Would seem like the time to put it out there deeper. But it is going to be really nice when complete.

Oh, there is no dock there yet so you have to beach the boat to load/unload and man is it a walk up the ramp to the truck.

Give us a report when you get back, and good luck to ya. The old ramp is just fine if you want to have a courtesy dock to use and not such a long walk. Like the other poster said that hill is a dude.
