This Not From Big Poppy But For Him!

Ok I hope I get this thing posted right pop has only shown me the board one time. so here goes. On Sunday morning my wifes mother aka Mrs poppy calls us and tells us to get to their house ASAP! When we got there he was very pale almost blue and sweating very hard and unresponsive. I am a volunteer fireman and DART team member and I have never seen anything like this I called in a 911 and had him transported to the hospital. After what seemed like days of testing and proding he was breathing better but still not responding. They said he was having conjestive heart failure, and we do not know how long his brain was being deprived of oxogen . Even if Pop could get on here he would not ask you to pray for him but he would be the first to ask prayer for someone else. He is a private kind of guy he helps out who ever he can when he can. He only worries it is not enough since he has gotten sick. He has given my wife and I nearly half a years wages when she was pregnant with our child he told me to pay it back when I could. When his grandaughter was born he gave me a note saying paid in full that morning. When one of his friends living a block away was hurt and out of work he found out that they were going to have bean soup untill the first of the year he went and got a 20 pound turkey all the fixens and country ham and some canned goods. took them to the door at 5:30 in the morning and got in his truck pulled out on to the street and started blowing his horn untill he saw them start to open the door and he drove away. So as a favor for me and a few others say a prayer for big poppy they are going to try and wake him in the morning,this morning. I know he won't ask for himself so this time I am going to do the asking even if I did have to steal his laptop to do it. thanks guys this is theonly board he reads and I know when he gets better he will see your messages and that big bear of a man will get sand in his eye like he always does.

I'm really sorry to hear that Poppy is having trouble. I can tell by his posts on this board he's a great guy, and I'll be praying for him.

Sorry to hear that Bigpoppy is down. I have only talked to him a few times here on the board, but he always seemed to be a nice guy from his line of talk and responses to others, sort of like from the "old school" about things as you mention as helping others out, which is what we ALL should be more like. Hope everything turns out ok for him and the family with trying to wake him this morning to check on his condition. Keep us posted here on the board of his progress if you can. Thoughts and prayers for him in a complete and quick recovery. From my houses to yours...Roger down in Tn.

I will certainly pray for him. I don't know him but it seems as he is a fine man indeed. People who worry and give to others as he has done are alright in my book. Get well soon Poppy, from the Hall family.
