Granted this is my own take on it but so be it, Fished today the lake is down and there is no water pulling from the powerplant to stage fish on the breaks of the river. Usually at this time of year when it is still hot the fish are at around 40 feet in numbers. they are not there, 80 on the surface today, only down wind banks with graphed shad or whatever had fish on them but they were still on the flats at 20 to 25 feet and still biting worms on the spinner rigs but they were very spread out. In the past when we have had the cold snap after the hot weather there will be about a week when trolling cranks(deep junior thunderstick) at 25 feet will work well. firetiger or Chrome blue seems to work best. If you know how to catch them in the winter please reply
