    Thanks for all the responses...

For all those that PM'd me, thanks for the well wishes and thoughts. It hurts too much to sit at the computer and type very much so I thought I would post this for all. Same old story for me, pain in my stomache gets worse on Saturday and Sunday, trip to the emergency room on Monday morning, Surgery Tuesday morning, 7th Hernia repair since 1997, 6th since 2004, another piece of mesh put inside my abdominal cavity along side the piece that was put in back in January, 8" incision, 29 staples and lots of pain and lots of missed fishing time. That is the story of my life. While I was in the hospital a nurse came in to tell me this was my 22nd admission and Wednesday was an even 180 days spent in the hospital. How much can a guy take? Life is not going well and has not gone well for a long time now and I am getting pretty tired of the daily beat downs. Thanks to all those that sent me messages and when I am able to respond to them all personally I will. For now this is the best I can do. Good Luck and hope you all catch at least one for me. Elnutsmalljaws.

It's just good to see you back on the board ol friend. I know it seems rough and I am in no means in your shoes but it can't stay rough forever. Hang in there for i'm sure it will take more than this to keep you down. Those smallies will be waiting for you when you get well. Take it easy and get well soon.

Hang in there big guy...sometimes life seems to test us to our limits...time to lean on your friends and family and get that second breath then pick yourself up and go on...there are still a lot of good times ahead. Get well soon.

    Hey man:

Just take it easy for a while and let that body heal. I know it's hard to keep you down and you want to get out there. Just take some time and relax and let the body mend itself. Then start back slow and work back into things.

Those smallmouth bass will still be there waiting for you when you recover.

Hang in there man keep us posted. I wish you the best!

I think I know how you are feeling right now.I have been catherized for over two months, had my surgery last week, went home, and right back to the tube two days later. The cathter is out now, but for how long who knows, last week i would have ate rat poison if there was enough of it around to dso any good, but I know there are fol;ks who are worse than me, so I'm going to keep trying to get back to at least moderate health, all these woes started when i decided to quit smoking, start taking care of myself, and get back in shape.three hospital stays later, and I'm still not sure its over. But you cant give up. I got that new boat to use,and now maybe that long walk up that steep ramp will be easier, keep the faith, we only are alive for a short time, things will get better.

Elnut: I am not going to preach, I am going to tell you what my great grandmother told me a long time ago. It is easy to lose faith and easier to just give up. But before you do either go to a nursing home or skilled care unit and walk the halls. See the battles others are fighting. Then look at yours. For me I have had 16 surgeries I am on dialysis I take 14 meds a day with a total of 40 pills a day. I have been to a burn unit and saint judes in memphis I have nothing to complain about when I see those folks I feel so small the battles they fight are wars and mine are scirmishes. Try to look at what you have got not what you don't have. I know the nights are long but there are good times still to be had.

    Good Luck: Dennis
