Bass can reach 12 mph by allowing water to flow through their gills creating laminar flow creating a barrier to turbulence.
When fishing below 40 ft white is the best color, and changing lure size is sometimes more productive than changing color.
Fish can detect chemicals in water so diluted that scientific instruments can barley measure them...so scents do work I guess.
By smell, fish can detect their own species and even identify an individual in a school.
