Barren weekend report

anybody go to barren river this weekend? was wanting to know what its like thinking about heading over there monday . six - year old grandson is out of school for a couple of days & he's got it bad all he wants to talk about is fishin . like to get him on some fish.

We had a Fishers of Men tournament on Saturday and fishing on Barren is TOUGH. I will have a full report tonight or in the morning, but it is tough. Jesse Duncan stopped by the weigh in and said this is the toughest he has seen things. It only took a little over 11 pounds to win. There seemed to be no real pattern, anglers reported catching their fish on everything from crank baits, spinner baits, jigs, shakey heads... Out of 39 boats there were only around 5 limits brought in.

Sounds like it actually picked up some since last week. Fished a 36 boat tourney, zero limits, half the boats zeroed (all fish had to be 15"). I think only 1 boat weighted 4.

thanks for the info may have to re-think this thing & go to cumberland.i used to catch alot of bass this time of year on barren
