Lake of the Ozarks

We are going to take a week trip there next year. Was wondering if anyone here has been there and how was it? We are taking campers and boats so any info on campgrounds or parts of the lake to visit would be helpful, thanks.

I'm not a camper so I don't know the best spots, but I did live in Missouri for 15 years and fished The Lake of the Ozarks several times. I like the Grand Glaze arm, putting in at the what was called PB2 (public access). This time of year I would stay in the back of creeks and cuts, throwing flukes, spinner baits and small crank baits. good luck.

Fishing up here is outstanding right now. The fish are around the front corners of the docks (between the docks and the bank) and hanging around any supports under the walkways in 1 to 4 feet of water. Try flipping jigs or tubes around this type of cover. You won't be dissapointed.
