    Fun Day on Cumberland

Fished out of Waitsboro ramp,, spelling? Caught a few Ky's up around the Hot water Discharge on shakey heads and jigs. Found spots on main lake that had some activety but they were just here and there. I wanted a Brown fish really bad. Had my butt kicked a couple times on the shakey head, they could have been Brown fish who knows. Up in Fishing creek time to call it a day, Got the fnf out, one more cast before we leave. Bobber goes under, set the hook and it's on. It rolls and I know it's a good fish. It jumps and it's a SMALLIE.. Yee HA. It takes drag and gets tired and RangerMac lips it for me. 19 in .. My first smallmouth on the Fly and my biggest one to date. It was on a Redneckshadrap "American Shad color fly" 58.5 deg water. What a way to end the day.

Got to love those brown fish on the fly and those long rods! Now you will have to get one even bigger. I guess I am going to have to drag mine out now. Bet Charlie did not need much sunscreen today. Now when are you going to move down there.LOL

Glad that you guys got out. Also mark another one down on the hand tie. I always love to hear those stories. That will be the first of manyon the fly for you. I'm sure of that.

Hope you guys had a good day on Biggum....The weather looks like it set up nicely with this cloud cover. Should have caught a few...

Me and the "Poison OAK" are getting along not-so-nicely.
