going crappie fishing sat anyone have any info on taylorsville or barren??thanks

Crappie are decent up in the creeks and are holding shallow. The bite I would think is probably a little better later in the day when it warms up. Find some shallow cover next to deep water or even baitfish on a shallow flat next to deep water and you may find some crappie. All the fish I caught were just a 3-4ft. deep and all caught on jigs. Most of the fish I caught were just barely keepers and I threw several fish back. Fish on the main lake may be holding a little deeper. Any submerged cover, tree tops on channel bluffs, should be a good place to start to, and it won't hurt to fish minnows either especially if you are fishing a little deeper. Good luck.
