    Re: p line halo

I spent 3 days on Dale Hollow last week and it was my first time trying out the Halo. We fished jigs in rocks pretty much the whole time too. I was VERY impressed with the line. I paid real close attention to the abrasion resistance and memory. In 3 days I may have retied a total of 8 times for nicks in the line. I was using eakins style jigs and was straightening hooks out when I got hung up. The memory wasn't any worse than any other Flouro that I've tried either and I've tried all of them. I was using 15lb line and caught as many as the guy in the front of the boat using 10lb invyzx and it being the mist green color it was actually easier to see than regular clear flouro too. I think you can tell I was VERY happy with the line.

Halo is a good line. I have also tried the new Berkley pro grade and it seems to be about the same. I used both on different jig rods all year and never had any trouble with either. I also only had to respool only once per reel.

Has anyone ever used the Yo-Zuri Hybird? I have bought some of the Halo but have not used it yet. A friend of mine swearers by the Yo-Zuri.

    Re: p line halo

I got some of the YO-Zuri Florocarbon line and I really like it for fishing my jigs and about anything I fish plastics with. I got 15LB and 20 Lb test and have yet to any breaks at all. I think it's a very good line for the money I paid for it. Hope to get more this year coming up, if our club can make another bulk order for it.

Tried Yozuri, great line I switched to it. It is extreamly tough, low stretch and more cost effective. Seems to last a long time. Do try the regular yozuri though, the ultra soft version though advetised as better than the original is not, has a lot of memory, and is not as tough.
