I have moved over the last couple of years to only copolymer line. I use Gamma copolymer exclusively now. There are reasons for this. First of all, the rock and mussels here on Ky Lake will eat braid and florocarbon and spit it out...not that they are bad lines..but I am not going to spool up with this line on this reel and that line on that reel...my rods/reels get used for a lot of different applications by my clients so I go with what I think is the best of line for all applications in general. Nothing against braid or florocarbon or regular mono..but my stuff gets a lot of use and I don't have the luxury of one line, one rod....I would have to have 20 rods in my boat to do that..so, I believe copolymer is the best answer to a good line in general. Low stretch...nick resisitant....gamma has little memory so I use it.
If I were fishing tournaments like I used to years ago I would have floro on this rod and braid on that rod and copolymer on another for different applications....but you know...I believe I can catch fish on any line here on Ky/Barkley and on any rod...finding the fish...presentation and confidence are what catches fish...not line...not rods...etc....my 2 cents.
