Thats funny but while the subject is up I thought I would throw in a comment. I moved to Somerset about 1 year ago and live on Lake Cumberland and have only seen one Ranger on the water in 1 year. I fish alot and am on the water at least 4 times a week and still only 1 time on 4th of July. Is there many on the water and I have not seen them or are the pretty scarce on the lake.
    Just curios..

They are there Justin and in numbers at times. If you are up on the east end of the lake most of the time you won't see alot of them. But from Jamestown down you will see quite a few, especially on Holiday weekends. Man I envy you I wish I could fish that lake that often, I love it there. BTW, nice brown pig in your avatar.

I mostly put in at Burnside but even when I have gone down to Beaver or Conley still nothing. I am not complaining as there is not too much trafic on my end I was just curios. At Burnside there is a ranger that sits in the car day and night and I see her almost everytime but nothing on the water. That pig was caught in March and it was 23 1/2" at 8.25 lbs. Needless to say it is in my office now, the replica of course she was really fat and out of proportion due to eggs so I took the measurements and let it go.

Dude you are killing me, over 8lb smalljaw, my dream fish, and you released her too. Awesome Justin, man one of these days I know I'm gonna get a brown one like that. Again I'm impressed, can you post a better pic of that brute, we can't blow those avatars up, and I'd love to get a better look at that freak of nature. Good job on releasing that beauty, can you imagine the gene pool that fish is producing, GET-R-DONE.

    License reminder

Kentucky's 2007-08 hunting, fishing and trapping license year starts today. Expect to pay more for nearly everything.

A resident annual fishing license will cost $20 (up from $15). Non-resident fishermen will have to pay $50 for an annual license but to help ease the pain state game officials are offering a new non-resident 7-day fishing license for $30.
