Lake Cumberland Smallie

This one is for Elnut. Hope you get well enough to fish soon. I took a buddy striper fishing recently. Fish were blowing up in the mouth of Beaver. Caught a **** 7.9 oz "trash fish" in the middle of a bunch of 13lb+ stripers! My biggest smallie ever! All I can say is thanks to the guys at Smack Tackle for the Gizz 4! Elnut, Get well soon!

I havn't had any luck with the giz 4 since this spring, murdered the stripers at night with it then, now I'm using tubes, and spin rites, but the smallie action has been a little slow, of course when I want to go to cumberland the weather turns crappy.Were you down rigging for stripes?

I was using the original version. The fish had the shad trapped in a little cut and we just killed them. Just throwing it and burning it back to the boat.

Thats was my problem, couldn't find any schooling shad up on top.
