I hope you released two of those fish on friday, the limit is 2 fish/24inches.
"3 were keepers" made me ask.

Fished the East or South end of Lake (Burnside) and came up short this weekend. I fished Friday and only caught 4 all day. One good size one and the other 3 were keepers but not much more than that. Birds were picking the baitfish off the top in numerous areas but very little explosion where the birds were feeding. I am not sure if the bait fish was being driven to the surface by the stripers or not. When the birds were feeding there seem to be no fish there. I only caught 1 during feeding on top water and the others were on down bait at 30’.
Saturday I almost blanked and finally caught one at the end of the day. The water was dirty every where as the day before only out in front of the creeks. Very little surface action by the birds and the only one caught was down 30’ again.
Sunday I got skunked but only went out for about 2 hrs despite the cold and wind. I did not plan on catching anything I just wanted to see if they were feeding again or not. Still no go, a few surface pops but hard to see with the water as ruff as it was. I did not put in until 3:30 and fished until 5:30 so not a big disappointment for the day.
Anybody do any good on the other end of the lake?

I had a friend with me so I could have kept all 4 but I did release the 3 smaller ones. I normally don't keep them I let most of them go and keep 1 if any.
After the cold front I would expect them to go in to the creeks but I dont know for sure. Unfortunatly I will be in Florida for 12 day starting Friday so I won't get to bust any stripers the next two weekends. Well I guess it's not to unfortunate because I will be fishing every day down there in the ocean.
