Herrington is up quit a bit and looks like chocolate milk under the bridge on hwy 34
Herrington came up 24 feet so i would say it is muddy beyond mile stretch.
Herrington is way up!! Almost over the road at Pandora!! Still clear on this end as well.. I havent heard of any crappie being caught in the past few weeks, but I bet you can find a few if you now where to go!![]()
How about giving up some of those spotsDownwind,I use mostly jigs plastic and the maribou jigs.I haven't had much luck there but still trying to figure them out.....I've only fished it a few times but know there are some big crappie in there.I plan on making some fish attractors this winter and put them out but dont know which end of the lake to put them on...any suggestion on that would be great....Thanks for all the info
kypit you have a p.m.
Thanks Jim again for the tips, sent you a pm as well....
well was going to go to Herrington today,but...get to Gwinn island and cant use ramp cause water at the road or a tad over.I cant put in coffey cove cause truck doesn't have enough power to pull a measly 14ft aluminum boat out of the water. It's a little 4 banger s-10,anyway decide to go to cedar creek instead, cleaner water........Fished for about 4 hours, caught 3 crappie all too small and 1 bass about 14 inches.Very windy, fished railroad bed.Water was 3 or so feet low and dont know temp cause forgot my fishfinder. All in all it was better than working I can tell ya that...
Were you in a white john boat

Ky PIt---Don't have any spots to give out. Really don't have much knowledge about Herrington and have only fished it a few times. I remember last simmer fishing around the island- I think Gwen Island was the name, where the marina owner had cut a bunch of trees down. Several of which were in water from the bank to 10' before dropping off to the deep water.
I was wondering if the boat docks were good places to fish.
