First I would like to thank each and everyone of you that donated money to a fund that was set up in my name at Backwaters. I know Bill and Cliff had something to do with getting this started and John at the store set it up in the store. I wish all that called in and donated would have left a name, number or address so I can than you in person or with a card of my own but none were left according to all parties. The final total came in at $440 store credit in my name from all the good donations and gifts that you guys gave. It is really appreciated and I dont know exactly what I am going to do with it just yet but it will more tackle add to the already too much tackle that I have. Again thanks for all you guys and girls did for this fund is a very nice jesture. I am trying to get back with all the emails that were sent just as soon as I can spend more time at the computer. Bear with me, they will be answered.
For me, 7 days out of the hospital now. Lungs seem to be working all right. Some of my different blood levels have gotton in range with all these medicines that I am on. They are still worried about the clots in my lungs and think it may take a few months for them to dislodge and break up. Until then I will be on blood thinners and a few other joyful items until then for up to 6 months. Lost another 9 pounds and dipped below the 360 mark for the first time in probably 20 years. 562 was my biggest on Mar 9, 2003 and I was 411 when I went into the hospital in October 2007 for my first of 3 hernia surgeries, 2 infection surgeries, 2 bouts with internal bleeding where they put 16 pints of blood in me, then the collapsed lung and blood clots that happened just past the new year and I stayed another 17 days. Spent 80 total days in the hospital since the first of October. Lucky in that I was home for Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years but pretty much all the other days you could have found me on the 3rd or 4th floor at St. Joe East. With all my problems I am on disability for the next 3 years (I won't be on it that long) but do plan on taking a good 6 months to recover. My buddy Cliff suggested that I fish with a bunch of the guys on the board since I am off work. BigGW down at the TRophy Lake, Mike down at Laurel, Get back down to KY and get Dave Stewart in the boat for a day, Steve Headrick at Dale, Cobby Hayes at DAle and any other guys that I have left out on the board that may want to fish together get with me. I don't see me being able to do this until the first of March to give me time to get better but after that, your boat or mine. We will make it work. THanks again for all the support, well wishes, phone calls, emails and private messages. Have a nice day.

Lookin forward to fishin with you Elwood. Maybe we can go to the Famous Hollow and catch some smallies. All you will have to do is give me directions to your house and we can go from there. Only thing is I'll have to wait till it gets warmer, which I see should be just fine by the time your ready to fish. Glad your home and losing weight guy.
Hang in there Wood it's all good from here. Best wishes, Mark.
Nice to see things are looking up! Get well and I look forward to seeing you on the water.![]()
Hey Elnut good to see your still home, when ever feel like you are ready just let me know-we will hit them fish at CC--But you do know you will have to show me permission slips from your wife and the doctor stating your good to go lol---Take care buddy
George
Elnut I agree with Big GW you can get it my boat as soon as I see permission slips I am looking forward to it. As far as sending emails to everyone I think you just posting on the site occasionally and getting better is good enough for all of us.
Beep Beep
Glad to hear you're getting better and congrats on breaking the 360 mark. I hope you heal up fast and for good.
Great news, Elwood.
Me and Elwood decided tonight that I would do his next lung drainage. I have a long fillet knife and some vaccum hose. He know exactly where to cut. A little vaccum and the fluid would be gone. SOme fish dope and duck tape to close it up....Good to go....
I'd bill the insurance company 50,000 grand and we could split it. Then we'd go 50/50 on Cliff's Used boat......
AGAIN!....
He sounds a lot better on the phone that he did a week ago folks. Ky Lake BEWARE!
Glad to hear your still home, hope your fishing soon and who knows we may meet at a lake someday after all it is a small world
