i went down to lc this mornin and fished around conely up in faubush.... i looked up in burnside crossing the bridge and its pretty muddy... i went a little piece up in faubush and in 3 or so hours i had 3 smallies all 16 to 18 inches adn 1 kentuck about 14..... the fishin really died when the clouds rolled in around noon i even changed colors but still no more fish.... but the best part of the day was when my dad caught a 14 lb stripper on a 9'6" fnf rod that was fun to watch all i could do was run the fish down with the trollin motor but we got it in and now dad is hooked on fnf he tried and tried to catch a smallie doin it but all he got was the stripper but he was pleased it was funny though he fought that devil for about 20 minutes cause i just use 6 lb flourocarbon and let me tell ya he thought he had the new world record smallie when he set the hook and the fish started runnin deep and it never came up so i knew what it was and so did he but it is nice to dream though.. but all the fish come from fnf with the duck feathers... and the water temp ranged from 46 to 49 on the surface... p.. s... there was a few kids out there on jet skis..... in shorts and t shirts.... shew teach their own...
good fishin
