Perhaps it is due to loss of concentration. Always gotta wonder how many times someone will break into your vehicle while you are on the lake.

i grew up 15 minutes down the road to laurel and i always found my self driving 2 hours to dale or 1 hour to norris to fish and i hear about all these big smallies comin out of there and i go and i cant catch anything hardly and it stinks i think my biggest fish i ever caught out of there was in dec fnf off a bank i can go in the spring up in spruce creek and nothing i hear some of my buddies complain about it.... i just dont know what to do everything i do in all the other lakes that i catch fish on there doesnt work in laurel... shaky, jig, crankin, and creature bait fishing..... i just think that lake was built on indian burial ground and somehow i am cursed to not catchin any fish on it.....

I fish Laurel usually once a week if not more. Its a deep lake with deep points. Just alot of places for the sm to go. I have had success many times on Laurel. But there are days sometimes weeks that I will not catch a thing. Do alot better in the Spring and early summer than anything. You just got to locate cover and find some good points. Went fishing yesterday. Me and a buddy was wanting to try fnf since it was so windy you couldnt do nothing else. We didnt have any luck but seen the fish getting caught. I went 2 weeks ago and done real good.
