    Who would you fish with??

Being stuck inside and watching every fishing show that is or has been made, which seems like thousands of them (Where do some of these guys get these shows anyways?), made me wonder who would I like to share a boat with for a weeks long trip and why?

My buddy Cliff (Chunknwind / i.e "Netboy") and my 4 year old son Joshua ("Netboy in Training") would be my first choice because I would have Uncle Cliff to Joshua and my best friend of 30+ years both in the boat at the same time. We found a Tracker boat and truck combo at Wally World with 3 guys complete with 2 nets rods and fish. Joshua says it is him, Daddy and Uncle Cliff fishing. Joshua puts me up front, Cliff in the back and Joshua in the middle. We have to rubber band them men to the seats in the boat to keep them from falling out and he loves it. I can't wait for this day to come, and it can't come soon enough for us 3 to be chasing "Them Old Brownfish" together at Dale Hollow, especially when Joshua lands his first Brownfish in Billy Westmoreland's favorite spot, you know the spot Uncle Cliff that I am talking about

My famous duo would be KVD and Mark Zona because they both LOVE Smallmouth, KVD would put us on fish all week and Zona would be a blast in the boat singing about "Baby Cubs" and "Fatties". I am singing the "Baby Cub" song in my head as I type this. If you have never seen the WGFS, "Worlds Greatest Fishing Show", you might want to check it out on ESPN. Zona is a pretty good fisherman in his own right and flat out funny as heck to watch him in the boat. He even had Swindle and Hackney singing the "Baby Cub" song a few shows back when the 3 of them were at El Salto together. Hackney swore to never sing it early in the show but was singing it by the end of the show, especially when he stuck "Clyde" as he called him. KVD is one of the if not THE best there has ever been with a rod and reel in his hand, plus he has that dry since of humor that would be fun to be around with Zona for a week.

That is my famous and non-famous trio's, as you can see I am bored out of my skull and looking for any thing and everything related to fishing. The good part is at least Fishing shows are on daily this time of the year for if it was in the fall and all I had to watch was hunting shows then I would be in worse shape since I don't even own a gun much less hunt. Who would you fish with if you could???

Well right now I know of no one with more experience at catching them Brownies other than the Famous Elnutsmalljaws..... I believe I could learn a lot from you good friend about how, where, and why aspects to catching them in a big lake. Yes I know I can catch them in a small creek, but it's different to know how to on a big body of water....

I saw the show your talking about, when Hackney started singing about :baby cubs " as well.... That show and weekend looks like it was a hoot and holler to be doing .....

I guess another long time pro would be Rick Clunn, back in his younger days, he was hard to beat and can still catch fish today. But the best would be KVD, in my book, he's just too strong of a fisherman...I would like to see him do one of the "A day on the Lake shows"...See how long it took him to get a consistent pattern going and slay them big ole fish.....

Bill Dance....that is funny. Yeah...so break out your Danc'n Eel on those fish.

Don't kid yourself...Bill was The Man in his day and he could still jack'em even on T-ville.

    Any of my friends first.

Famous: KVD hands down. Zona would be a great addition...the WGFS is fantastic.

I would love to fish with Guido Hibdon to listen to the stories of how things have changed and remained the same. Larry Nixon would be another choice for the same reasons.
KVD wthout question but the old school would be very cool.

Now that is a good one!!! I'd love to fish with her. She's the reason I watch CNN in the mornings before I go to work.

For famous, I would have to go with the late Tom Mann on Eufala in its prime.

Non-pro would have to be my grandfather by far. Taught me how to fish and how to appreciate the outdoors. The Pro would definately be KVD. He's simply the best there's ever been and I'd like to see it first hand.

I like going with my dad - he gets fired up when I catch more than him.

I would have loved to catch some smallies with Billy Westmorland. I met him when I was a young kid, and he was a great guy.

Now if I was fishing for money here on Ky lake - I bet Dave Stewart could get some fish in the boat.
