Hybrids @ Taylorsville/Saltriver

When will the hybrids run to or at or around saltriver? I know the white bass run around April 15 / red buds bloom. Thanks Ed

Don't know about them running, but I completely knocked their socks off around the middle of May. All I was throwing was a Chrome & Blue back Rat-L-Trap in the jumps. I caught so many in an hours time I had to actually quit, due to my arms were hurting so much from fighting all the fish I was catching. Was one of the very best days I could have ever had fishing at Taylorsville Lake.

Sounds like a morning I had with a crome and black trap. We were in the main intersection of the lake and followed the boil about a 1/2 mile up stream, and caught 80+ in about an hour between the both of us.

I did the same thing on the white bass there once as well. Only crazy thing was I was catching 14 3/4", 14 5/8's, 14 1/2" and was throwing them back. I had initialy thought the white bass had to be 15" and was throwing everything back under 15"....Must have thrown back at least a half dozen before I finally asked someone about the correct size. But it seemed like every morning from right at 9:00 am to about 10:00 am or a little later. They would start feeding and I just followed them down the bank casting a Trap into the jumps. another nice day of "catching" and not just fishing......lol

Magic time for me with whites have been around tax day 15 April last year. However this has fluxuated over the years. All mine been on rooster tails yellow. when running you can limit out in 15 minutes including culling them out. But the hybrids ive missed every time. Ed
