Got back from Kentucky Lake over the weekend. Left Friday before last in the snow storm. Didn't have to much trouble getting down there. Fished the Sat. after the snow. Bitter cold and windy but caught some nice fish. 5 Lbs. even was the biggest coming on a Bandit 300. Everyday the fishing only got better once we found them. It took 30 lbs to win our little fishing tournement (7 boats). Second was 29 lbs. 12ozs. Of course my partner and I didn't find the bite until the day after the tourny. Caught 26 fish with 8 being keepers. All on a 3/4 oz football jig with either a packa chunk or 1/2 of a baby brush hog as trailers. Sure was glad to see that jig bite so early in the year as my arm was getting tired crankin. All fish were caught on the west side out of the main lake south of 68 bridge. Had a hard time catching a fish in Johnathon or Blood river. By the way a jointed #7 firetiger was the hotest bait of the week.

Was that one day 5 fish tournament?
i was wondering the same thing 30lbs!![]()
I was wondering how long it was going to take to get to that question. It was 10 fish. One day. But one boat brought in real close to 30 lbs in 5 fish on Thursday. The bite was very good on Thursday. That same boat had 3 fish 16.5 lbs in our tourny.
