Rat L Traps

I know we just had a discussion about changing the hooks out on the Trap. I just read that during the Bassmaster Citrus Slam KVD replaced both the hooks on a Red Eyed Shad. He replaced the factory hooks with two xtra short shanked #2 trebles because they are better for keeping a fish buttoned up on the lure and he didnt hardly lose any fish....

Has anyone on here tried that?

I always change the hooks out on the trap but havent tried the extra short shank....
