What to do when they are pullin the lakes...

Plan on hitting a lake this Friday. Dont know whick one yet, thinkin' either Green, Rough, Nolin, or Cedar Creek. Question is, what tactic do you folks employ when the C.O.E. are dropping a lake as fast as they are the local reserviors? I have always had problems finding and catching bass when they are letting watter out of the lakes, can anyone help me out? Any recomendations on what lakes are hot now and which ones I should try to avoid? Thanks in advance....

Anytime they are pulling lakes, ESPECIALLY in the summer time, ledges ledges and ledges are my favorite top 3 spots to fish. C Rig, T Rig, Big Jig, Big Crankbait take your choice. My guess is this time of the year, some fish are back in the "flooded" vegetation and will move out to the first drop close when they are pulling it. There are much better fisherman on this board than me but this is what I would do. You may also try the channel banks near the "flooded" area with cranks for success as well during the pulling period. Good Luck, we will be fishing Barren this weekend in hopes of a couple.

Elwood covered it pretty well. If the fish were shallow and they started pulling the lake down i would pull out to the first drop off or channel just outside of the shallows. In the summer when they are pulling water i like main lake humps and drops, the current created seems to make the fish more active and they feed better.

I would use the same baits as Elwood. C-rig, HeavyT-rig with a 10" worm, Jigs, and Crankbaits
