I'll be praying for you and the Jones Family.
I'll send up some prayers for Mrs. Jones as well.....Take care and hope everything works out for the best.....
Prayers offered up. And I'm sure there will be many more from board members, whether they post it or not. I've never been real religious myself, but I worked as an ICU nurse for 6 years, and yes, some amazing things happen there, both in waiting rooms and on the unit. I've had the honor and privilege of having patients personally describe to me what are commonly called "near death" experiences, and came away convinced of one thing: call it what you will, "God," a "higher power," whatever, there is more to this life than meets the eye. Much more than we on Earth have the power to comprehend.
God Bless Mrs. Jones and all her loved ones.
Well, I am a christian and there are things that happen in Hospitals that can't be explained any other way than God's intervention. remember, God answers every prayer, but sometimes the answer is no and that can be hard to accept. Prayers from the Chopper and Girls.
Sounds like something great did happen during this time of need. The Lord works in mysterious ways....I'll pray for all of you as well. God Bless.
Godspeed to all involved.
God is greater than any sickness or disease. Jesus said, "With My stripes you are healed." He can heal them and keep them on earth or he can heal them by taking them to Heaven; either way, they are healed. If we will only trust Him to make our healing decisions, they will always be the right ones. Our family has recently trusted Him with the healing of our Mother. She was in hospital with nausea and vomiting but said it was time for her to go to Heaven. She left while my brother, a minister, had his hand on her chest and was asking God to heal her and "make this the best day of her life." Exactly 30 days later, he was called to the hospital on a Sunday night to pray for the dying mother of a church member. On his way, as he entered a curve on the road, he hit a patch of dense fog, missed the road and, in the "twinkle of an eye," he too went to Heaven. We didn't know it at the time, but his death was Isaiah 57:1-2, down to the last letter. He was already dying and didn't know it. God is Holy and His decisions are always right even when we don't understand them. While my situation is far different than most, I said all that to tell you, Mrs. Jones, and your girlfriend, pray and trust God WITH ALL YOUR HEART and God will work out things for your best. The thing that happened to your girlfriend may have happened to bring her to Jesus.
Prayers going up from Gilbertown, AL; Daphne, AL; Hattiesburg, MS; Butler, AL; Church Hill, TN; and Kingsport, TN.
Ryan, I am sorry to hear Mrs Jones is in the hospital. Tell Terry that I will pray for her and that things will be OK!! I had something happen to me the other day that was an act from GOD, just believe in him and he will guide her through. Joe Hornbeck
God is GREAT!! In him all things are possible, and that is what we mere mortals often forget in our time of need. I had honestly lost sight of this myself in recent days and have been feeling pretty worthless and utterly down. And not to even say it is close to what you all are going through, but the response I received from the great people on this site (who have have not only looked at my post close to 1400 times, but have offered to help in NUMEROUS ways) has given me back the perspective I needed.
The fact that your girlfriend has given her life to God, and gained the gift of eternal salvation, is AWSOME and is something to celebrate. It may be a sign from God to you all that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, IF YOU JUST BELIEVE!! I will request prayer for you all at my little old-time baptist church, ironically names "Zion" for those of you who study the bible, and make sure we spread the word through our association for your need. Please let us know if there is ANYTHING, be it someone to pray with or whatever, and I know I will come out and pray with you in a moments notice. Brother, it is times like this when even a stranger, like me, can offer you some support that you need, and I am VERY SERIOUS about coming out to where you are and spending some time praying with you and your family if it would help. You say the word and I am there my friend! Good luck to you and yours and know that we will be praying for you all each and every night Ryan. One last note, you said you were not "a very religious man" but I hope, if you have not do so already, you realize how quick things can happen and how important it is to get close to the lord WHILE YOU CAN!! If you ever want to sit down and get to know him better, in order to give YOUR life over to him, please don't hesitate to call me either. We only have a little time on this earth, and never know when it may end, so each day we put it off is the devil working against us in the hopes we will not make it in. Remember one thing, for those of us that are "saved" be his grace and mercy, THIS LIFE here on earth IS OUR HELL, the joyous times we have when we leave this world are beyond our capacity to know. But the bible tells us we will sing with the angels in the presence of the lord for all time, and that is worth the sacrifices we need to make here in this world, as eternity is a much longer time than our lives here, and I would rather spend it with god than burning in hell.
I wish you the best and you can always find me, if you want on my phone (502-689-5528) and I am here anytime you need brother.
My thoughts and prayers go out Terry and his family. Keep your faith strong. If there is anything I can do please feel free to contact me.
Keeping you in my prayers,
Don McCarty Jr.
