    why?

Why did so many spinner bait makers go away from the twisted eye on their baits? In most cases the loop works fine, but how do you attach a wire4 leader to those loops? Have lost a lot of baits due to northern pike and muskys cause they cut the mono, or fray the braid badly.

    Larry,
Not sure if this is why but I like it because my line doesn't get wrapped around that twisted wire as I cast. I never thought of the problem you have had with leaders mmmm....can you use some surgical tubing to slip over the line tie end prior to attaching the leader? Just like attaching a trailer hook, I think it still might slip but maybe not as much?

Larry was right on target with how to fix your problem use the rubber supplied with trailer hooks and slip it on the spinner bait over the metal loop that you ty too and then clip on your leader.
