    Re: Cedar Creek

I was there yesterday. Main lake was pretty stained and the creeks were muddy. Temps around 53. Boat traffic was so bad I'll probably never go back on the weekend.

Buddy and I fished Cedar last Wednesday. 53 by the dam and it was colder in creeks, believe it or not. Threw jigs and suspending cranks as well as a few deep runners. Caught a few.

Traffic down there is bad, but whats even worse is the common dipshits who try to come right up and run you off the spot they want to fish. If I got washed once, I got washed 5 times by guys running too close.

Just downright rude, you used to not see that kind of thing so much. But that is the norm on Cedar, Im afraid. I try not to go unless its mid week.

I hear you Cajun. What I experienced yesterday were some pretty badfishing ethics. I've never fished a lake that had as much pressure as it did yesterday.

The place is a joke really. You have 50 plus boats fighting over four or five spots and less than a third will catch a fish all day. LoL

can't wait til the beach opens back up.

so guys lets think about this for a minute...all these people fishing all of these obvious supposingly "hot spots" and not catching a thing.thats when youve gota pack your bags and head for some spots that rarely gets fished even though i know those are hard to find on CC but they are there.Eventually youll find one or two that will hold fish that knowone else knows about.I know it takes some gas and time on the water but it usually always pays off in the end

If you can get your boat way back in some of the cuts, you can do real well with a fluke or a spinnerbait.

I hope all of you stop fishing out here that way maybe some of the boat traffic that you complain about may be gone..........

Caught four out of your hole yesterday. It was slow. Had to take a number to fish anywhere. I don't think I have ever seen the lake that crowded on a weekday. 5.13 was the biggest. Missed a big fish on a crank bait.
