We're staying in Aurora and usually put in a Fenton or Ken Lake so we are good there. What about trailering South or North on Kentucky? What options would you recommend for reaching some of our North and South holes with the lake being up so high and a 20 mph SW wind.

very sweet. Thank you Bevo!
I'm still a little unsure based on the fact we are trying to launch a big glass boat w/ tandum axle trailer. I don't want to waste time riding around.
Bassman,Smith bay in LBL has a good ramp and theres Moors on the other side of the lake both on the northern end. I have put in at both of them over the past week. Then theres the Wildcat ramp in Blood River and somebody told me Redd Hollow in LBL was ok also.
There are two ramps open at Jonathan Creek...one on each side of the bridge...Barge Island Ramp (Birmingham Pt) is usable...I launch there a lot when going out of the north end...very little use and a nice ramp...I am not sure about down south but I would think as Nitro says...Wildcat Ramp in Blood River should be usable. I have been fishing south but I launch out of Ken Lake when doing so...faster than driving all the way around to get down there.
BassMan........I don't believe the Smith lake ramp is all that good right now.........A couple weeks ago, Dave and I were going to use it, and decided not to.......I suspect the water levels are still bad and that ramp is not good........
We used Sugar, but GOOD luck with actually finding the ramp. AND we also use Pisqua.........and that was also bad. Basically we simply backed down the gravel and pushed the boat off........FUN.
Later,
Geo
i used the ramp at Smith bay last week and it was okay. They are pulling the water down about 6 inches a day, so unless we get a monsoon. It should still be okay
I launched out of both Smith and Sugar last Wednesday within an hour or so of each other, I know it was so close why did I do this (long story that includes my Dad and his knee replacement surgeries he had a couple of years ago). The level was 362 then and Smith could have taken another 2-3 feet before it was unusable but Sugar was to the top of the ramp then maybe it could have taken another foot or so but Smith was defineately the deeper ramp at that time. Good luck to you Mark on your trip, talk to you Friday night or Saturday morning on our way down.
Thank you very much guys. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the quick response Geo, Dave and Nitro. I hope I get to thank you in person one day soon.
Thank you for the call Elwood. I'll talk with you soon bro.
