We put in at Beaver Creek about 6pm and went way up the creek to where we put 7 striper in the boat last week only to find things much different. The water was muddier much further out the creek and the dark film/algae or whatever was gone for the most part. There was a fair amount of debris in the water, leaves, sticks, lakeside weeds mostly with the occasional bigger wood but nothing like it used to be after a lot of rain b4 the drawdown. We fished the area anyway for about an hour as there were shad present but they were scattered not balled. Spent the next hour graphing likely spots for balled up shad with no luck. Finally headed back past BC marina toward the mouth. The water cleared up b4 you get to the island cut-through. Fished the vicinity of the cut-through until 3am catching 2 stripes 21", 29", and a 3lb smallie on sliver and swimbaits on points right b4 dark. After midnight we started to hear a little bit of shad flipping action, no blowups though. It shouldn't be long now.
Thanks for the report.
