    Doe Run

Well I just got home from Doe Run (small lake up in northern Ky.). Water was muddy but clearing also the lake is down about 15 feet right now. My son and daughter and I walked the banks (100 yds. of bank anyway).

I caught one Bass about 2 lbs. on a jig, broke one off on a tube, and had one over 3 lbs. follow a spinner bait up to the bank. also caught one crappie on spinner bait.

Were you in a boat or off the bank? I used to fish it years ago. Haven't been in about 8 years. Can you launch a boat 16' there?

I was walking the bank, you can launch a boat but it will be awhile before water is high enough to do so.

Went back down to Doe Run again tonight and fished from approx. 6:30 until just before dark. Wind was whipping my but, water was up approx. a foot from where it was yesterday, also the water looked a bit muddier. ONLY got one bite that I know of but it was a good bite. 4.2 lbs.

Went back to night and got skunked but it was worth it because my son caught one 2.14, even tied his own knot...

Yes the lake is Still Down, according to a local at the lake he said the wont let it come up until late april, early May.

Me and my son went sunday and my son caught one 2.14, I had not even a nibble. I went tonight and had three nibbles one on a jig and two on a tube and my sorry but couldnt get a hook in em. (Magnum Flipping Tubes). I had the tube skin hooked but on my sorry hookset i didnt even drive hook through the tube... LOL
