Launch Fees

I just noticed that Herrington Lake Marina increased there launch fee to $10 from $5. That does it for me. I'm unable to afford to fish from this ramp. With the increase in gas and bait and ramp fee it's not cost effective. What are the launch fee's at other ramps on Herrington.
Herrington Lake Marina is a great place. I'm not slamming them for increasing the ramp fee. I understand there expences are going up also. But it seems to me that if you raise the ramp fee that fewer people will use it. Sells will decrease at the marina in return.What do you think

I drove down there to look at the water the other day and noticed the same thing. Ten dollars seems pretty steep to me for launching. I guess alot of people launch and keep they're pleasure boats there for extended times so that's probably why. I drove on up 27 back towards nicholasville and there was another road that lead to a different ramp. I can't recall the Marina but it seemed pretty big and the ramp is not near as steep. I'll probably try that one when I fish there next time.

Chimney Rock is still $5 and so is the one across the way from Chimney Rock. Not sure about Pandora.

Herrington Marina is one of the worst ramps on the lake, plenty other ramps at 5.00 10.00 is insane

I always thought that Herrington had a Marina's Owners Association and that ramp fees were voted on and raised together when they thought they needed too. Anybody Know for sure?
