    Help With Ohio River

What is river condition below McAlpine, and down thru Kosmosdale, to Brandenburg? How much debris, water color?

What would you fish for if going? Are whites and stripes hitting, if so best to be at power plants, or in the creeks.

Want to go tommorow 23 April, so help if you can with info.

Hey guy's, I'll be down there tomorrow in my puddle jumper " the doc's boat eats a touch more gas than mine lol" last week I ended up catching a small blue around 25# a spoonbill about 4ft long on a 1oz rooster tail I thought was a huge stripe at the lower dam, a couple whites, and a couple sauger. Doug did you all get any shad? couldn't get any at sh!t creek or silver, had to go to colgate and the ones I got were all huge. If you all see me stop on by and give me a shout. Chuck

Doug, when you say buried, do you mean with debris, or just packed with lots of boats and trailers?

Bob, I think Doug means lots of debrie. I put in at the ampitheater in New Albany it was clear last week when I put in but lots of junk and trees left over from the flood. Chuck

Hurricane - You might try New Albany ramp or even the Salt River Ramp...I haven't been to either of these ramps to know what condition they're in right now but if you live in the area it might be worth while to check them out.

chuck , where is colgate creek?? if it is where i think it is there is not much water there in the actual creek and i beleive i could jump across it. any fish of good size would have their backs sticking out of the water. just curious if you would share the location. btw, i have been six times in the last week and could not tell ya how many whites, stripers, hybrids and sauger we have caught. too many to count.

Yes bass, that would be the one. Last week the lower was at 22ft I could get my boat to the bend and yes you could catch the heck out of white bass right there if you wanted to with a white roostertail.I was looking for shad and they were thick in there when the water was high so I knew there would still be some there and they were. You can catch whites down there about everywhere now I played with them alittle yesterday at the lower dam, then catfished the rest of the day. Chuck

it's right across from the last break in the Duck pond wall ,on the Indiana side ;it's more like a ditch but it would be almost impossible to fish from a boat with the current ripping along there
