Licking River (Nicholas County)

I'm looking for some tips; I want to drop a jon boat in at the clay wildlife area and float the river.
Anyone fish that area, any advise would be great. I"m looking for some bronzebacks or rock bass.

Haven't done that in years.. We would camp out during squirrel season to hunt, but had a jon boat to fish and set out trot lines during the hot part of the day.. Never caught any keeper size rock bass, but caught plenty of cats on trot line.. I hope you get some good advise on here, I would like to know some tips on it as well..

No one huh? well I'm going anyway on Thursday, but I think I'm going to put in the jon boat in the blue licks and float down it.
