    Big-C. Friday night.

Yielded very little. Lower end, basically main lake. Not many shad up and only a few stripers heard. Partner and I nabbed a 22 inch striper and a 21 inch walleye on topwater. Expected better. Wind direction changed right at dark and water had been dropping 8-9 inches a day. Kind of a head-scratcher.

I fished Friday night until 2:00 without any luck. The wind was difficult at times to control the boat. Saw several boaters out Friday night. Heard very little shad activity and blow-ups.

I went Sat night. Water was 64.5 degrees in the main lake. Absolutely no trash to hit. Spent my time up around the cut-through island and Bugwood. Since everyone has been having Walleye bites, I was really hoping to have the same problem. I fished from 8ish to 1ish. Caught 2 of the smallest stripers I have ever seen and one about 5 or 6 pounds. I was in the shad and graphing shad and stripers along the bank in 8 to 15 feet of water. Just not getting them to hit. I threw about everything I had in the striper box. Caught the 2 tiny boys on a crankbait. Caught the larger small one on the surface.

On the plus side it was a beautiful night, I had no issues with the boat or truck, no wind issues, and I did not draw a blank.

Friday night was not the same as Thursday night for sure. On Thursday night for about 1 hr before dark until about 11:30 the bass and stripers were busting the surface like crazy in White Oak creek. I dont meen just feeding top water I mean slamming the shad at the surface. However same time same place on Friday NOTHING. I didnt hear but a few surface pops until around 12:00 and they were all the way at the end of the creek and not near as agressive as the night before. I drew a blank on Friday and could not figure out where they went. When I got off the water at 1:00 on the way home I noticed the moon was bright orange and about 20 minutes later it was white agian. Not sure if the moon had anythign to do with it but Thursday night was really dark due to the overcast and the bite was on, Friday night no so much!
