Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament Praying for Record Year

June 14, 2008 will mark the eight year for the Lee King Benefit Buddy Tournament at Lake Point State Park in Eufaula, Alabama. We are praying for a record 200 teams to compete in this worthwhile event held to raise research money for terminal Niemann-Pick disease children all over the world.

We have been blessed with the support of so many anglers and business’ that make each year bigger and better. We have added incentive money to the purse for 2008 making the total payout $11,250.00 if all sponsors requirements are met. All the details are on the web site at www.leekingbenefit.org.

The Lee King board has voted to support the new laboratory staffed by Dr. Steve Walkley and Dr. Dan Ory who will dedicate their full time to Niemann-Pick research and have set a goal to find a cure or treatment for these precious children in five years.

In order to run this lab, it will take major money. This is why we are praying for 200 teams to compete. This will not only help with the needed funds, it will carry our message to even more towns across the nation. We are already seeing the results of all the prayers as we have 56 teams registered to date.


Please tell your clubs and buddies about the Lee King tournament and come and enjoy the fun filled weekend. There will be many great door prizes at the safety meeting on Friday evening and lots of auction items you may win to enjoy all year long. Your entry fee in a tax deductible donation.
