Guarding Fry

We was on fish yesterday on Dale and most of them were guarding fry...how long will fish guard there fry,and after they stop will they usually bite good?

We went to the hollow yesterday also. How did you guys do. We caught 6. 1 17"sm, 2 17" lm and the rest dinks.Fished trick worms and had more fish slashing and and following than striking. I was thinking the fish we were seeing and catching were still spawning. I did'nt see any fry but when I have caught them guarding fry they were really aggressive, that was'nt the case with us yesterday. We fished all over Ky. side.

on them guarding fry try throwing a gsplash, rico, or pop r on em and pop it and see what happens... momma has a tendancy to knock the heck out of your plug....

we did very well on the hollow,we caught 9 with 6 being keepers all LM's with one smallie,we shook off probably 20 more but cant be givin out my secret bait on here but yes my big one for the day came in the first hole we pulled off a spook jr,he inialated it
