i went to cland on tuesday and got some shiners so my fiancee could try and catch some smallies since she never has.... but that didnt work out she got bored until she was watching me fish a zara spook and gettin blown up on and catchin fish here and there.... i showed her how to do it i would cast it and give her the rod and she work it back to the boat and she kept gettin blown up on and not gettin any until right at dark a 3 pounder nailed it.... it came right out of a stump and the fight was on for her it took her a few minutes but we got it in adn well now my fiancee too is a smallaholic and ready to go back...... we fished form 2 until around 1130 i missed the memo on the time change and got in later than i wanted too... but i didnt do no good after dark but they are sure loving that topwater this time of year..... i put in at conley and ran down the lake to some pockets and fished the mouths up till the bite slowed or stopped then went across and came out and onto another creek.... had a bunch blow up had around 10 keepers mainly spots but 1 nice smallie and some little uns.....

Good job Ryan.
ryan, were you in the blue and white ranger? if so, i am the fella that was taking out when you launched (black and red triton). Nice job!
yeah uyky that was me...... when u told me they had slowed down when u was leaving i was like awe shucks.... but hey fish turn on and off all day long..... but the off times are the roughest cause u know u are throwing the right thing and u go to changing and when they do turn on u aint got what they want on and then its just all down hill from there.....
glad you all caught some fish. i spoke with another friend that stuck it out the afternoon and he did not fair as well as you did. if you ever see me on the water again, do not hesitate to say hey. good fishing!
