Smile Ledge Fishing with Dave Stewart

Went with Dave today Ledge trip, caught some small fish on the ledges, just a little too early for a good ledge bite. Learned more in one day with Dave about ledges than I thought was possible. and in between ledges we fished some high percentage places as Dave teaches in "Shad School" and what do you know on a high pressure day still had over 15 lbs in the boat on five fish with one pushing 6lbs. and that's not counting numerous other fish.

    Dave

Thanks alot can't wait to do it again

    Chris

Chris: enjoyed the day with you and looking forward to that next trip you are planning. Happy Anniversay to you and your wife...hope you have a nice vacation here and catch a lot of fish.

The class that Chris is talking about is the one I teach on some learning trips which I call, How to Eliminate Water...basically it involves how to locate the highest percentage spots on a lake during different times of the year by tracking the shad schools.

For Smallies: Chris caught his big fish on a secondary creek channel point with a Carolina rigged baby brush hound in watermelon/purple. He also caught fish on a green pumpkin finesse jig and a medium running crankbait in bluegill pattern on lead out creek channel banks and secondary points. All these lures were in my last week's fishing report.
