Salt River in Shepherdsville

Anybody fish this area much. I live here and have to admit that after 41 years, I have maybe fished it twice. I have two private bank access spots to fish as well as the city park and I have my canoe. It looks like that I am going to be spending a lot of my time fishing it this year due to finances.

Any tips woould be greatly appreciated.

The Salt is full of fish, cats, crappie, whites, Ky bass. Some of the best times I have ever had was when we use to limb line for cats....Loads of fun and a good place to frog gig also. The Salt around shephardsville has to be some of the least preaured waters I know of......Jarrod

You can catch some decent smalljaws by casting small crankbaits near any rock. The small Strike-King cranks in a hotmustard color (1/8th oz.)
