Fishing Herrington

I am temporarily living in Nicholasville because of work and I'm wanting to start fishing a little closer because of the gas and all. I can get to Pandora boat ramp in about 15 minutes from my house so I'm wanting to start fishing Herrington more. I've probably only fished the lake 5 or 6 times and never had much luck. I went there a couple of weeks ago and barely caught anything. I hear people talking about the fish they catch there so I know it's got potential. I understand the night bite is starting up there but I can't even figure them out in the day. Can anyone help get me started?
