Guys and Gals,
What is the best nite fishing light system out there for the money. I am planning on doing some nite bass fishing this summer and need all the help I can get. Portable or hook up.
Thanks,
Bassky
Call Fishermans Headquarters in Draffenville Ky, from what I understand Bart has one that he claims is second to none, one he uses himself. He can lead you in the right direction.
i realy cant say because everyone i have bought the lens covers fall off. they last about a year till they fall of some times not even that long. just bought a portable one that recharges for $50 at bps and the suction cups have already came off. so good luck on finding a good light. and if you find a good one let us know. because i am tired of spending money on them.

i was in saddlebrook outdoors in london the other day and they had a new type which was very powerful and very compact. the guy in the store said it was the best on the market...would light up like "daylight". it had better because it was 249.00
Stan Sloan's are good dependable lights that come in several configurations of bulbs. They are compared to the newer lights alot bulkier.
I am tempted to try one of the LED's with the RCA plug in they are very small and quite expensive.

I have been using the Stan Sloan (Zorro Baits) Piggy Back fishing lights which has 1 blue/black bulb and a small white light with a variable brightness control. I have always had good results with this light and could always see the line without any problems other than being bulky. I recently purchased from BPS a set of the Nite III's lights and will try them on my next nightime fishing trip. I also saved my receipt because if they do not perform well then they will go back and I will continue using Sloan lights.
I am in the process of making my own from u/v led's in a piece of pvc pipe. hopefully will work for less than 20 bucks apiece. If they do i will report back
Stann Sloan's are the best, they may be bulky but they are tough. I had a plug in first. It got knocked off by the net into the water atleast once a night. Got rained on numerous times. I dragged it up the ramp and through the parking lot of ramp 1 on green at a couple of Clydes Tue. night's . When it fell of and hit the water at 60mph it didnt even flicker till the plug got jerked out of my boat. I'd almost bet money that if I could go down and get it off the bottom of green and let it dry out for a day, I could plug it in and it would still work. I went the next day and got some drop ins. Had them for a year now and love them. Both of mine were the Super Double. A buddy of mine has the piggy-back and I like it too. I had one of those cheap lights that you buy at Wal-Mart first, it made it about 4 trips (I lost both covers for the lights in the first trip) and it became sturcture on Herrington, darn things sink too fast.
Stan Sloans are great, I have two, one is over twenty years old and still working fine. I tried the others but they did not hold up nor as bright as the Sloan.
I just recently got a moonlite from Anglers Outpost. I love them LED (minimal power use) and smaller than any blacklight ive seen. They are a little $$$ if you do lots of fishing at night its wort it in my opinion. There is another similar to this light. Links below.

i personally have a led one a stan sloan super double and one of the bass pro ones. My favorite is the stan sloan and it is because it is more durable and better made than the others. I also think that sometimes too much light which you may get from the ones that light up the sky, can hurt you on getting bit. I have rails on the side of my boat so i bought the rail adapters and the light will not move. I don't like the suction cups because they never seem to work right but it is kind of a matter of opinion. But for my money i will stick with the sloan's.
Who needs lights at night? I alway fish "al natural". Feel, baby, feel!
